Med den trenger du ikke lenger bruke klor. Systemet omdanner saltet til klor. Den endelige saltholdigheten til bassengvannet ditt er omtrent 10 % av sjøvannet. Du merker knapt saltet i bassengvannet.

Den innebygde timeren sørger for en vanlig klorfrigjøring, men for å bruke saltvannssystemet trenger du en filterpumpe. Filterpumpen må kunne pumpe minst 2650 liter vann i timen for at systemet skal fungere som det skal. Generatoren leveres med svømmebassengslangeadapter som gjør den egnet for 32 - 38 mm. Det er viktig at det brukes rent salt i systemet. Er det jod i saltet får du gult vann! Så pass på at du bruker rent salt.
