Beskrivelse
Et snusket motellrom, tre toppskuespillere og et fantastisk manus. Dette er ingrediensene i det sterke dramaet TAPE. Denne filmen av Richard Linklater handler om to menn som møtes etter 10 år på et motellrom i Lansing, Michigan. Vince (Ethan Hawke) og Jon (Sean Robert Leonard) var bestevenner på videregående. Jon er en debutregissør som er invitert til filmfestival i hjembyen. Vince er involvert i alle slags lyssky narkotikaforretninger og har ikke kommet lenger enn å være frivillig for brannvesenet. Møtet starter i minnelighet, men det viser seg snart at Vince har en dobbel agenda. Vince vil gjerne snakke om deres felles videregående venn Amy (Uma Thurman). Han prøver å få en tilståelse ut av Jon, som han i all hemmelighet spiller inn på bånd. Vince vil at Jon skal innrømme at han voldtok Amy under en fest som gikk ut av kontroll. For å gjøre ting enda mer komplisert, inviterte Vince også Amy. Vince leter etter en konfrontasjon, men resultatet viser seg å være en stor overraskelse for ham også!
