Product Description The inspiration for the "Leichtes Stück" aluminum seatpost is something Tune encountered again and again in everyday life - namely in the form of German half-timbered houses, tower cranes, and bridges. The construction can be especially well-understood when considering the tower crane - a narrow crane tower with a proportionally oversized long jib. Who wasn't amazed as a child that the crane wouldn't collapse or fall over? This construction is made possible, among other things, via a special rail arrangement. The "Leichtes Stück" is also based on this type of technique. Cut-outs were made according to this exact principle, allowing for a whopping 40 grams total weight savings without loss of stability or stiffness! To achieve this result, Tune is happy to use 20 minutes more production time on the 4-axis CNC machine.
