This coaxial terminator is intended for terminating unused coaxial connections within a coaxial or satellite installation. This 75 Ohm F-terminator allows unused F-connector connections to be properly terminated to prevent signal interference. The terminator features an F-connector male connection. This allows the product to be easily screwed onto an unused F-connector female connection of, for example, a splitter, amplifier, or satellite component. The terminator has an impedance of 75 Ohm. This is the standard impedance for coaxial installations used for television, radio, and satellite signals. Properly terminating unused connections ensures stable signal transmission. The terminator includes a DC-blocker. This means that direct current (DC) that can be transmitted via a coaxial cable, for instance for a satellite LNB, is blocked. This prevents unwanted voltages on unused connections. The housing is made of zinc with a nickel-plated connector, ensuring good shielding and a reliable connection within coaxial installations. Specifications • Coaxial terminator / F-terminator type • F-connector male connection • Impedance 75 Ohm • DC-block yes • Housing material zinc • Contact material nickel • Application terminating unused F-connector connections Explanation of terms used Coax Coax (coaxial) is a cable type used for transmitting television, radio, and data signals. F-connector An F-connector is a coaxial connector widely used in satellite installations and broadband coaxial networks. Terminator A terminator is used to properly terminate unused connections in a coaxial installation to prevent reflections and signal interference. Impedance Impedance is the electrical resistance of a coaxial installation and has a standard value of 75 Ohm in television systems. DC-block A DC-block prevents direct current from passing through a coaxial connection, for example in satellite installations where power is supplied via the coaxial cable. Ask a product question
