Podle studie Shimano to má za následek zvýšení účinnosti lichoby ve srovnání s předchozími pedály M540. Konstrukce bahna -drainage a dvě strany v systému kliknutí zajišťují hladké a volné kliknutí za všech okolností. K sestavení těchto lehkých pedálů je nutný 8 mm allen klíč.
