S tipičnim črno-belim vzorcem dlake je velika panda prava lepotica. Njegove noge in ramena so črne, hrbet in glava pa bela. Še posebej lepa: majhna ušesa, gobček in še posebej dlaka okoli oči so črni. To izgleda super. S svojim vpadljivim črno-belim kožuhom in črnimi kolobarji okoli oči je velika panda videti kot ljubkovalna igrača. Vendar nima časa za crkljanje. Medved, ki lahko tehta tudi do 160 kilogramov, si mora zagotoviti hrano. Ker obožuje skoraj izključno bambus, rastlina pa ni posebej hranljiva, njegov obrok vsak dan traja do 16 ur. Nič čudnega, saj mora prebaviti do 40 kilogramov bambusa. Samo čas potrebuje. Škoda, ni časa za igro!
