The face behind the Fair Squared soap bars Who is the man on the packaging, we are often asked. This is Mohammed, also known as Aleppo man. He's the face behind our solid soaps and has been part of the FAIR SQUARED team since early 2019. But how did this really happen, and what's the story behind it? From Aleppo to Cologne. Mohamad is originally from Syria. He lived for many years in Aleppo, the capital of the eponymous laurel soap. Due to the outbreak of the civil war, Mohamad decided to leave Syria. After a year and a half in Lebanon, he came to Cologne with his wife and six children in 2015. Sought and found: Aleppo soap made in Cologne. Mohamad had his own company in Aleppo, where he produced and distributed soap and detergents. When we at FAIR SQUARED were looking for someone to do this to build up our soap production at the end of 2018, Mohamad decided to apply for this position. His application immediately convinced us. Since then, Mohamad has been the man behind the production of FAIR SQUARED soap, and the best part is that he can do exactly what he did in his home country of Syria.
