Description
Carl, a fisherman is found dead, entangled in his own nets. He has a heavy head wound. Was he killed? Kazuo (Rick Yune), another fisherman, is suspected of crime. During the investigation and the court case, the post-war anti-Japanese feelings breathe on. Ishmael (Ethan Hawke), a local journalist, gets it very difficult when he finds out that his ex-girlfriend, Hatsue (Youki Kudoh) is involved in the murder.
