Shot by American astronauts, the film captures the special relationship between these space explorers and their hosts, the Mir cosmonauts: what it's like to live, work and play in zero gravity. Meet Shannon W.Lucid - a space pioneer who set numerous records - and her colleagues in their weightless home, against the spectacular backdrop of the space surrounding them. Mission to Mir was filmed in IMAX and shown in IMAX theaters worldwide. This video version was digitally mastered from the original 70MM film and the sound was specially mixed and mastered to create a high-quality Dolby Surround soundtrack.
