This jack cable from CLICKTRONIC is used for connecting audio equipment with a 3.5 mm audio jack. The cable transmits analog audio signals between devices such as smartphones, tablets, Hi-Fi systems, subwoofers, amplifiers, and speakers via an AUX connection. The cable features 3.5 mm jack male connectors on both ends and supports stereo audio, allowing two audio signals, such as a left and right channel, to be transmitted via one cable. The connectors are equipped with 24-carat gold-plated contacts that ensure low contact resistance and stable signal transmission. The cable has an OFC copper conductor (99.9% oxygen-free copper) and double shielding consisting of aluminum foil and copper braiding. This construction reduces electromagnetic interference and contributes to stable audio transmission. The connectors are constructed from multiple PVC and ABS components with integrated strain relief that protects the cable from mechanical stress. Specifications Brand: CLICKTRONIC Cable type: Jack audio cable Audio type: Analog audio connection Connector 1: 3.5 mm jack male Connector 2: 3.5 mm jack male Connector type: TRS (3-pole) Mono / stereo: Stereo Contact material: Gold (24 kt) Connector housing: ABS, PVC Conductor material: OFC copper (99.9% oxygen-free copper) Cable type: Round cable Number of shields: 2 Shielding 1: Copper braiding (42×) Shielding 2: Aluminum foil AWG: 27 Cable jacket material: PVC Cable diameter: Approx. 3.85 mm Characteristic impedance: 50 Ω Operating temperature: −10 °C to +80 °C Certifications: CE, RoHS, REACH, WEEE Explanation 3.5 mm jack: A commonly used audio connector for headphones, AUX connections, and portable audio devices. This connection is used on smartphones, tablets, laptops, car radios, and various audio devices. TRS connector: A jack connector with three contacts (Tip, Ring, and Sleeve). This allows two audio signals to be transmitted, enabling stereo audio. OFC copper: Oxygen-free copper with a very high purity level (approx. 99.9%). This type of copper has low electrical resistance and is often used in audio cables for stable signal transmission. Double shielding: A combination of aluminum foil and copper braiding around the conductors that reduces electromagnetic interference and improves signal quality. Gold-plated contacts: A thin layer of gold on the contact surface of the connector that reduces oxidation and ensures a stable electrical connection. ABS and PVC connector construction: A multi-layered connector housing that absorbs mechanical stress and protects the cable from damage due to pulling or bending. Strain relief: A reinforced transition between the cable and connector that prevents the cable from bending or breaking directly at the plug. Applications • Connection between smartphone and Hi-Fi system • Connecting a tablet or laptop to speakers or amplifiers • Use with subwoofers and multimedia equipment with 3.5 mm AUX connection • Connection between portable audio devices and external audio systems Types of jack connectors 6.3 mm jack: A larger jack connector primarily used with professional audio equipment, musical instruments, and studio installations. 3.5 mm jack: A smaller jack connector commonly used in consumer electronics such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, and portable audio devices. 2.5 mm jack: A compact jack connector used in headsets, walkie-talkies, and specialized audio equipment. Explanation of jack configurations TS (Tip-Sleeve): A jack configuration with two contact points. The tip carries the audio signal and the sleeve acts as ground. This configuration is used for mono audio signals. TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve): A jack configuration with three contact points. This allows two audio signals to be transmitted, for example, a left and right channel for stereo audio. TRS can also be used for balanced audio signals in professional audio equipment. TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve): A jack configuration with four contact points. This type of connection allows for the transmission of a microphone signal in addition to stereo audio via the same connector, for example, in headsets. Explanation of audio signals Balanced audio: A method of audio transmission using two signal wires and a ground. Interference picked up along the way is canceled out at the receiver, resulting in a more stable audio signal with less noise. Unbalanced audio: A form of audio transmission using one signal wire and one ground wire. This type of connection is widely used in consumer equipment such as smartphones, laptops, and Hi-Fi systems. Stereo audio: An audio system using two separate channels: a left channel and a right channel. This creates a spatial sound image. Mono audio: An audio system using only one audio channel and sending the same signal to all speakers. Explanation of certifications CE: Indicates that the product complies with European directives for safety, health, and environmental protection. RoHS: European directive that restricts the use of hazardous substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and certain flame retardants in electronic products. REACH: European regulation for the registration, evaluation, and control of chemical substances used in products. WEEE: Directive for the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment to reduce environmental damage from electronic waste. Ask a product question
