This ALLTEQ jack cable is used for connecting audio equipment with a 3.5 mm audio jack. The cable transmits analog audio signals between devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, headsets, amplifiers, and other multimedia devices with a jack connection. The cable features 3.5 mm jack male connectors on both ends and supports a 4-pole audio connection. This allows not only stereo audio but also a microphone signal to be sent via the same cable, as is the case with headsets for smartphones and tablets. The cable is designed in a slimline version. This extra-thin construction makes the cable flexible and suitable for use with compact devices. The connectors are equipped with gold-plated contacts that ensure a stable electrical connection. Specifications Brand: ALLTEQ Cable type: jack audio cable Audio type: analog audio connection Connector 1: 3.5 mm jack male Connector 2: 3.5 mm jack male Connector type: TRRS (4-pole) Mono / stereo: stereo with microphone Contact material: gold-plated Conductor material: copper Extra: slimline design Warranty: 5 years Certifications: CE, RoHS, REACH, WEEE Explanation 3.5 mm jack: a commonly used audio connector for headphones, AUX connections, and portable audio equipment. This connection is used on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and various audio devices. TRRS connector: a jack connector with four contacts (Tip, Ring, Ring, and Sleeve). This allows stereo audio and a microphone signal to be transmitted via a single connection. Slimline cable: an extra-thin cable construction used when space is limited or when a flexible and lightweight cable is desired. Gold-plated contacts: a thin layer of gold on the contact surface of the connector that reduces oxidation and ensures a stable electrical connection. CTIA standard: a connection standard for 4-pole jack connectors widely used in smartphones and tablets for headsets with microphones. OMTP standard: an older connection standard for 4-pole jack connectors used in some computer headsets and older devices. Applications • Connecting a headset with a microphone to a smartphone or tablet • Connection between portable audio devices and headsets • Use with multimedia devices with combined audio and microphone connection • Universal audio connection for devices with 3.5 mm TRRS connection Types of jack connectors 6.3 mm jack: a larger jack connector primarily used for professional audio equipment, musical instruments, and studio installations. 3.5 mm jack: a smaller jack connector widely used in consumer electronics such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, and portable audio devices. 2.5 mm jack: a compact jack connector used in headsets, walkie-talkies, and specialized audio equipment. Explanation of jack configurations TS (Tip-Sleeve): a jack configuration with two contact points. The tip carries the audio signal and the sleeve acts as ground. This configuration is used for mono audio signals. TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve): a jack configuration with three contact points. This allows two audio signals to be transmitted, for example, a left and right channel for stereo audio. TRS can also be used for balanced audio signals in professional audio equipment. TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve): a jack configuration with four contact points. This type of connection makes it possible to transmit a microphone signal in addition to stereo audio via the same connector, for example, with headsets. Explanation of audio signals Balanced audio: an audio transmission method that uses two signal wires and a ground. Disturbances picked up along the way are canceled out at the receiver, resulting in a more stable audio signal with less noise. Unbalanced audio: a form of audio transmission that uses one signal wire and one ground wire. This type of connection is widely used in consumer electronics such as smartphones, laptops, and Hi-Fi systems. Stereo audio: an audio system that uses two separate channels: a left channel and a right channel. This creates a spacious sound image. Mono audio: an audio system that uses only one audio channel and sends the same signal to all speakers. Explanation of certifications CE: indicates that the product complies with European directives for safety, health, and environmental protection. RoHS: European directive that restricts the use of hazardous substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and certain flame retardants in electronic products. REACH: European regulation for the registration, evaluation, and control of chemical substances used in products. WEEE: directive for the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment to reduce environmental damage from electronic waste. Ask a product question
