This coaxial attenuation adapter is designed to lower the signal level in a coaxial installation. This 3 dB attenuation element can reduce an excessively strong satellite or antenna signal to prevent interference or receiver overload. The attenuation element is equipped with an F-connector male connection and an F-connector female connection, allowing the adapter to be easily placed between a coaxial cable and a satellite receiver, television, or other coaxial equipment. With a frequency range of 5 – 2300 MHz, this attenuation element is suitable for both satellite signals and terrestrial antenna signals. This means the product can be used in satellite installations, antenna systems, and other coaxial networks. The attenuation element has an attenuation value of 3 dB with a tolerance of ±1.5 dB, which slightly weakens the signal to achieve a more stable reception signal. The adapter features DC pass-through, allowing power voltage to continue flowing through the coaxial cable, for example, to power an LNB in a satellite installation. Specifications • Coax attenuation element / signal attenuator type • Brand Goobay • Connection 1 F-connector male • Connection 2 F-connector female • Attenuation 3 dB • Tolerance ±1.5 dB • Frequency range 5 – 2300 MHz • DC pass-through yes • Impedance 75 Ohm • Certification CE, WEEE Explanation of terms used Coax Coax (coaxial) is a type of cable used for transmitting television, radio, and data signals. F-connector An F-connector is a coaxial connector widely used in satellite installations and broadband coaxial networks. Attenuation Attenuation indicates how much a signal is weakened when passed through a component. DC pass-through DC pass-through means that direct current can be transmitted via the coaxial cable, for example, to power an LNB on a satellite dish. LNB An LNB (Low Noise Block) is the receiving component of a satellite dish that picks up satellite signals and transmits them to the satellite receiver. Ask a question about this product
