USB Type-C™ Splitter – 2× HDMI – DisplayPort Alt Mode – 4K@30Hz This USB Type-C™ splitter allows you to connect two HDMI monitors to a computer with a USB Type-C™ port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. The splitter functions as a DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST) hub and distributes the video signal across two HDMI outputs. Host Port Requirements The host device's USB Type-C™ port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Without DisplayPort Alt Mode, video output is not possible. The splitter requires DisplayPort 1.2 support at the source. Inputs 1× USB Type-C™ male (host connection). Outputs 2× HDMI A female (19-pin). Signal Direction USB Type-C™ → 2× HDMI. Image and Video Support Supports resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 Hz or up to 2560 × 1440 at 60 Hz, depending on the system and connected monitors. When using two HDMI outputs simultaneously, the available DisplayPort bandwidth is divided between both outputs. DisplayPort MST The splitter functions as a DisplayPort MST hub and supports extended desktop configurations (extend or mirror) under operating systems that support MST. Under macOS, the same image is displayed on both HDMI outputs (mirroring); independent control of two screens is not possible under macOS. HDMI Outputs The HDMI outputs transmit digital video and audio signals, in accordance with the capabilities of the host device and the connected HDMI monitors. DisplayPort Version DisplayPort 1.2 via USB Type-C™ DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Audio Audio and video signals are output together via HDMI, depending on the capabilities of the host device and the connected displays.
