The Ubbink FiltraClear 6000 PlusSet pond filter is a three-chamber filter system. Mechanical filtration (with filter mats and biological granules) takes place in the first chamber, and biological filtration takes place in the second. This chamber consists of a fine filter sponge, biological granules, and a filter medium with a bacterial strain that keeps the water clear. The UVC unit keeps algae growth under control.
