Reptiles are ecothermic, meaning they can't maintain their own body temperature. Therefore, it's important for almost all reptiles to have additional heating in their terrarium. With these Trixie lamps, you can easily create a so-called "hot spot": this is the warmest spot in the terrarium where your pet will enjoy basking. This lamp heats through a combination of infrared and UVA radiation. The infrared radiation supports heat regulation and digestion, while UVA stimulates natural behavior and appetite.
