SWS Outside Extra is an airtight, vapour-permeable and driving rain-proof window connection foil for exterior use, with a powerful self-adhesive strip for attachment to the window side and a powerful full-surface self-adhesive layer for attachment to the shell. Can be directly plastered over or finished with an external facade insulation system (ETICS). Part of the SOUDAL WINDOW SYSTEM. Special characteristics: Airtight, driving rain-proof, vapour-permeable, full-surface self-adhesive for attachment to the shell (pressure-sensitive), self-adhesive strip for attachment to the window profile (pressure-sensitive), flexible, UV-resistant, plasterable and paintable, 2- or 3-part release liner (depending on width), tear-resistant, good temperature resistance, cold application (no additional adhesive required), no drying time, immediate further work, easy installation, easily pliable in corners, meets the requirements of DIN4108 (EnEv) and the recommendations of RAL assembly. Application: SWS Outside Extra window tapes guarantee an air- and driving rain-proof and vapour-permeable connection of the window frame to the surrounding load-bearing structure. This flexible membrane can also be used as an air- and driving rain-proof seal for all types of wall connections. For outdoor use only. Instructions for use: SWS Outside Extra may only be used on the outside. Depending on the situation, the installation of SWS Outside Extra can be carried out before or after the installation of the facade element (e.g. window frame). There are 2 methods for applying SWS Outside Extra. You can work with a single strip or with 4 separate strips. In both cases, extra material must be provided for the corners (approx. 5 to 10 cm per corner). After unrolling and removing the release liner, stick the film with the exposed adhesive strip (on the printed side) to the side of the facade element, or remove the release liner from the adhesive strip on the unprinted side and stick the film to the front of the facade element. Always ensure that the text is legible and facing the visible side. Remove the remaining release liner evenly. Do not stick the film too tightly to the shell to absorb any movements between the different building elements, but avoid wrinkles. The adhesive layer of the film is pressure-sensitive; the more firmly it is pressed, the better the adhesion. Use a pressure roller for this.
