This Firex smoke alarm is designed to detect smoke and provide an acoustic warning signal in case of smoke or fire development. The product is used for fire detection in indoor spaces and is suitable for use in homes, hallways, landing areas, and office environments. The smoke alarm operates based on optical smoke detection and is connected to the 230-volt mains power. For continuity during power outages, the smoke alarm is equipped with a 9-volt backup battery. The smoke alarm can be wired to other Firex smoke and heat detectors. When one detector alarms, all linked detectors are activated simultaneously. The smoke alarm features an alarm memory that can determine which detector was triggered first within a linked system.
