Compounds are made from different materials. Each compound has its advantages and disadvantages. Elvedes offers a choice of three different compounds, each offering high braking power for any bike and any weather conditions.

Organic

• Ideal in dry conditions

Lifespan

After installing the new brake pads, it is very important that the pads are bedded in; this extends their lifespan.

Braking in

How to improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads:

Keep the brake lever slightly pulled while riding, ensuring the brake pads are in contact with the brake rotor. Ride for about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour (15 mph), then brake a little harder at the end to reduce your speed to about 5 kilometers per hour (3 mph). Then slowly increase your speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
