Properties per ingredient:
Turmeric: For healthy hindquarters. Maintains healthy cells and tissues. Provides relief.
Goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea): Good for the back and urinary tract. It helps remove waste products and detoxifies.
Frankincense Tree (Boswellia): Promotes the natural immune system and provides relief.
Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens): For the hindquarters. Provides relief. For smooth movement and easier rising from the basket.
Cat's whiskers (Orthosiphon stamineus): Good for the (hip) joints.
Dosage and application:
Unless the doctor or therapist prescribes otherwise.
The optimal dosage is 1 - 2 x daily:
- Dog: 10 - 15 drops
- Cat: 5 - 10 drops
20 drops is approximately 1 ml.
If administering this product multiple times a day is difficult in practice, once a day or once every two days is sufficient. In that case, administer the maximum daily dose. This product is still effective, but the response may take a little longer.
Administration
Administer this product directly into the mouth using a plastic syringe, diluted with a little water if necessary. Preferably not with a meal, as the product is more effective when absorbed by the clean oral mucosa.
If an animal does not like the product, the drops can be given on a small piece of treat.
If the cat refuses the drops, place them on a warm spoon and allow the alcohol to evaporate. Then, dilute them with some water or milk using a syringe and administer directly into the mouth. The drops can also be applied to the back of the cat's paw; be sure to check if the cat licks the drops off.
Advice for use
Observe the animal's reaction carefully. Provide the necessary rest, but also ensure exercise. In general, if the animal is stiff, it's wise to walk it frequently. Straight movements, walking, and trotting are particularly good for keeping the joints supple, and swimming is also very good for the joints. Abrupt stops, jumping, and quick turns, such as those occurring while playing with other animals or throwing sticks and balls (in dogs), should be avoided. These put too much strain on the joints.
Treatment duration
In an acute situation, the duration of treatment is relatively short. This can range from a few days to three weeks. Continue administering this product for a few more days if there is improvement.
For prolonged discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, you can switch to a maintenance dose. This is usually half the dosage indicated on the packaging. When dosing this product, carefully monitor your animal's reaction. A higher dosage may be necessary initially; this product can be safely administered at double the recommended dose. Gradually reduce the dosage to the lowest possible dose.
This product can be administered continuously. It is advisable to have a week off every 6 to 8 weeks. This way, the 'stimulant' can be given again after the week off.
