Description
Incredible speeds plus firm reliability.
The A400 Solid-State Drive from Kingston offers a drastic improvement in the reaction speed of your existing system with incredible start-up, loading and transfer times compared to mechanical hard drives. This SSD that is supported by the last generation controller with speeds of up to 500MB/s and 450MB/s* for reading and writing is 10x faster than a traditional hard disk* for higher performance, extremely responsive multitasking and a faster system in general.
The A400 is also more reliable and more durable than a hard disk and is built with flash memory. It contains no moving parts, which makes it less likely that malfunctions occur than with a mechanical hard disk. It is also cooler and quieter and the shock and vibration resistance makes the ideal for notebooks and other mobile computers.
The A400 is available in multiple versions, from 120GB to 480GB **, so that you have enough space for all your applications, videos, photos and other important documents. You can also replace your hard disk or a smaller SSD with a disk that is large enough for all your files.
This SSD is made for use in desktop and notebooks and is not intended for server environments.
• Fast start-up, loading and transfer times
• more reliable and more durable than a hard disk
• Multiple capacities with room for applications or a replacement for hard drives
*Based on “performance based on factory settings” using a SATA version 3.0 motherboard. Speed can vary due to the host hardware, software and use. Iometer randomly 4K reading/writing is based on a partition of 8GB.
** Part of the stated capacity on a flash memory is intended for formatting and other functions and is therefore not available for data storage. That is why the actually available capacity for data storage is smaller than indicated for the products. For more information, go to the Kingston's Flash memory manual on kingston.com/flashguide.
