The digital HDMI video signal is actively converted by the adapter into an analog VGA signal. The adapter is exclusively for video transmission and does not output audio. Signal Direction (important) The signal direction is fixed and unidirectional: HDMI source → adapter → VGA display. Use in the reverse direction (VGA to HDMI) is not possible. Compatibility (important) The adapter is only suitable for systems with an on-board graphics card. Use with a dedicated graphics card is not supported. Application The adapter is used to connect systems with an HDMI output and on-board graphics card, such as compact PCs or laptops, to displays or projectors that only have a VGA input.
