7900 2RS MAX - Angular Contact Radial Bearing Discover the 7900 2RS MAX angular contact radial bearing, specially designed for mountain biking and bicycle suspension systems. Developed by Enduro Bearings more than 20 years ago, MAX type bearings provide 35-40% more load capacity than standard radial bearings by placing the maximum number of balls in the tracks through a custom groove. This innovative design provides better lateral support for the torsional and multi-directional forces typical of mountain bike pivots. With deep grooves, grade 10 balls and full-contact double rubber seals, this ABEC-3 bearing guarantees excellent protection against dirt and water, while remaining 90% filled with high-pressure Almagard grease. When properly installed and adjusted, Enduro angular contact bearings ensure that all balls come into contact for even force distribution, minimizing wear and extending life. Used by Santa Cruz as a pivot bearing for the suspension, this model is available in high-carbon chrome steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless steel balls. The deep grooves provide room for large balls, and the double lip seals create a complete labyrinth structure for optimal protection against the elements. The static load capacity is 477 lbf (2.12 kN), with a weight of only 9.69 grams.
