Description

Item number: 8717677721429 View all from EM Agriton > View more: Soil improvers & Fertilizers > EM Agriton - Seashell lime Aegir - 25kg Ostrea seashell lime is a 100% natural product produced by living organisms from the sea. The shells are cleaned, heated, and uniformly ground. It is a rich source of calcium (96.1% CaCO3) and also contains a wide range of unique minerals and trace elements with long-lasting effects for a stable pH (acidity). As is well known, a good soil pH is very important for healthy plant growth. If the soil pH is low (acidic), various nutrients are bound in the soil and the plant can no longer absorb them. By optimizing the pH with seashell lime, which is extracted from shell banks in the North Sea, you can counteract acidification. The advantage of sea shell lime is that it has a long-lasting effect, it dissolves slowly in the soil, so pH fluctuations can be avoided. This stimulates the growth of soil life, which in turn ensures optimal conditions for plant growth. Finally, sea shell lime also contains trace elements.
