Description

John Richardson (James Brolin) runs the oil company in Central America with an iron fist. He is visited by Jesse Martin (Jay Robberts), an engineer who wants to further his career in John's company. Jesse can forget that career when it turns out that there is a tough fight going on between the army and local guerrilla gangs that claim power over the oil fields. In the violence, the boundaries between good and evil become blurred, while Jesse falls in love with the beautiful native Sybille and an idealistic American teacher. When at one point the army massacres an entire village, something breaks in Jesse. He will have to choose between good and evil, his job and his loved ones.
