After countless hours of testing in the field, this updated model is completely tailored to what you need as a wildlife photographer. The viewing windows are larger than ever, both at the front and back. Above and next to the snoot you have a wider view, while still remaining perfectly camouflaged. Thanks to the smart magnetic closures, you can open and close the windows smoothly and quietly - useful if you want to respond quickly to a moving subject. The loops keep everything neatly open without any fuss.

The sides have new, strategically placed handles that keep the whole thing balanced during transport. This makes it feel lighter and easier to carry, even if you have to walk a bit to the water with all your gear.

The accessory bags have remained the same, but have been improved: waterproof (except for the zipper) and equipped with sturdy Velcro. With a size of 20x13x13 cm, they offer enough space for essentials. You choose whether you mount them at the front or at the back, depending on your setup.

Also the foot pump got an upgrade: more robust, more reliable and made to last. The assembly is simple: inflate both air chambers, attach the mounting plate and tripod head, add the safety net and bags, assemble the tent with the umbrella system and click the canvas onto the tube. You'll be ready for action within minutes.

The PVC used is extremely strong and durable – the same material used for inflatable rafts. The double air chambers ensure maximum safety. The tapered ends with extra camouflage allow your hide to blend seamlessly into the environment. Each mounting point is double reinforced for extra durability.

To the D-rings you can effortlessly attach extra nets, bags or other accessories. The tent canvas is made of 150D polyester with a water column of 2,500 mm – resistant to heavy rain showers. Please note that the windows are not completely waterproof; Some rainwater can enter through these openings.

Overview of the viewing windows:
Front: 1 window above the snoot (20x7 cm), 2 side windows (10x7 cm) and 1 larger window above (22x11 cm).
Back: identical to the front.
Left and right: 3 observation windows each (22x11 cm).
All windows are equipped with insect nets and can easily be opened or closed with a string.

Thanks to the true-to-life camouflage, you can get surprisingly close to birds and mammals without them recognizing you. The cloth has the well-known reed print and additional attachment points for branches, reeds or a camouflage net. With the 20 sets of loops and strings you can completely adapt the hide to your environment, to perfection.

The Floating Hide Grebe II is light and compact, ideal for taking with you to local lakes, nature reserves or even when traveling by plane. This way you work flexibly, wherever your adventure takes you.

Prepare well:
Check your hide carefully before you leave. Safety always comes first. Know how deep the water is, decide which animals you want to photograph and check whether you are allowed to enter the area. Visit the location in advance to assess the light and plan your shoot wisely. This way you can step into the water with confidence.

In the water:
Find a place where you are not visible to people or animals. Set up your gear on the shore and enter the water through reeds or vegetation to blend in with the surroundings. Use the handles to carry the hide and gently pull it along in the water using the handle at the front. Or secure it with a rope, depending on your position.

During shooting, the fixed snoots your lens against splash water and loss of camouflage. They are made of the same waterproof material as the tent, making them one whole. You photograph from an extremely low point of view – almost literally at water level. This produces unique, atmospheric images.
