Coax plug

This right-angle coaxial connector (IEC female) from HIRSCHMANN is designed for connecting a coaxial cable to a television, wall socket or other coaxial equipment within a 75 Ω coax installation. The connector is used in cable television, radio, and satellite installations according to DVB-C, DVB-T2, and DVB-S standards. Due to its right-angle design, the connection can also be used behind flat screen televisions or in confined installation spaces without the cable needing to be sharply bent. The connector features high-quality metal shielding (Class A++) that provides protection against interference from 4G and 5G networks and other electromagnetic interference sources. Thanks to the KabelKeur certificate, this connector meets the requirements for modern cable networks and is Ziggo compatible. The connector has a patented internal strain relief, which reduces mechanical stress on the cable and keeps the signal connection stable. Its compact design allows for mounting behind very flat televisions and in wall installations with limited space. Class A++ is a European classification for coaxial components with a very high shielding value. This classification indicates that the connector is effectively protected against external electromagnetic signals such as mobile networks and wireless equipment. This ensures stable signal quality for television and data signals. Protection against 4G and 5G Mobile networks such as 4G and 5G use frequencies close to television bands. Without good shielding, interference can occur, which may be visible as blocking or signal loss in digital television. The high shielding value of this connector helps prevent this interference. KabelKeur certification KabelKeur is a Dutch certification for coaxial components suitable for digital cable television and cable internet. Products with this quality mark meet strict requirements for shielding, impedance, and signal transmission and can be safely used in modern cable networks. KOKWI and KOKA explanation KOKWI is a type of Hirschmann coaxial connector specifically designed for cable television installations with high shielding. This connector is often used in combination with Hirschmann coaxial cables and is known for its strong protection against interference from 4G and 5G networks. KOKA is a series of Hirschmann coaxial cables (e.g., KOKA 9 Eca) that feature multiple shielding layers and a fixed impedance of 75 Ω. In combination with KOKWI connectors, an installation with a high shielding class suitable for modern cable television and internet networks is created. When a KOKWI 5 connector is used with a KOKA coaxial cable, a connection with very high shielding is created, meeting KabelKeur requirements and suitable for use in Ziggo installations.
