DORMER E282 to kran maszynowy z gwintem gazowym (M), wykonany ze stali HSS-E PM, z prostymi rowkami. Dzięki temu można go stosować zarówno do otworów nieprzelotowych, jak i przelotowych. Przelotowy wał zapewnia, że pasuje on do gwintowanego otworu. Wymiary konstrukcyjne zgodne z normą DIN5156. Maksymalna głębokość gwintu wynosi 1,5xD. Faza ma kształt C (2-3 warstwy), ale jest oczywiście dostępna również z wyjątkowo długą fazą w kształcie A (6-8 warstw). Oznacza to, że może być również używany jako kran ręczny.
