This ALLTEQ jack cable is used for connecting audio equipment with a 3.5 mm audio jack. The cable transports analog audio signals between devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, car radios, amplifiers, and speakers via an AUX connection. The cable features a 3.5 mm jack male connector and a 3.5 mm jack male angled connector. This allows the cable to be easily connected when the audio jack is difficult to access or when there is limited space behind a device. The cable has a coiled cable construction. The spiral-shaped cable can be stretched during use and retracts when not under tension. This keeps the cable compact and less prone to tangling. The connectors are equipped with gold-plated contacts and a sturdy connector housing with strain relief. This helps reduce cable breakage at the connection and ensures a stable connection. Specifications Brand: ALLTEQ Cable type: jack audio cable Design: coiled cable Audio type: analog audio connection Connector 1: 3.5 mm jack male angled Connector 2: 3.5 mm jack male Connector type: TRS (3-pole) Mono / stereo: stereo Contact material: gold-plated Cable length: 0.15 – 1.8 meters Extra: coiled cable Warranty: 5 years Certifications: CE, RoHS, REACH, WEEE Explanation 3.5 mm jack: a commonly used audio connector for headphones, AUX connections, and portable audio equipment. This connection is used on smartphones, tablets, laptops, car radios, and various audio devices. Angled jack connector: a connector where the cable exits the plug at a 90-degree angle. This allows the cable to be connected in hard-to-reach places and reduces the risk of cable breakage at the connection. TRS connector: a jack connector with three contacts (Tip, Ring, and Sleeve). This allows two audio signals to be transmitted, enabling stereo audio. Coiled cable: a spiral-shaped cable construction where the cable can be stretched and automatically retracts. This prevents excess cable and reduces the risk of kinks or tangles. Strain relief: a reinforced transition between the cable and the connector that prevents the cable from bending or breaking directly at the plug. Gold-plated contacts: a thin layer of gold on the contact surface of the connector that reduces oxidation and ensures a stable electrical connection. Applications • Connection between smartphone and car radio (AUX) • Connecting laptop or tablet to speakers or amplifiers • Use with Hi-Fi installations and multimedia equipment • Connection between portable audio devices and external audio systems Types of jack connectors 6.3 mm jack: a larger jack connector primarily used with professional audio equipment, musical instruments, and studio installations. 3.5 mm jack: a smaller jack connector widely used in consumer electronics such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, and portable audio devices. 2.5 mm jack: a compact jack connector used with headsets, walkie-talkies, and specialized audio equipment. Explanation of jack configurations TS (Tip-Sleeve): a jack configuration with two contact points. The tip transmits the audio signal and the sleeve acts as ground. This configuration is used for mono audio signals. TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve): a jack configuration with three contact points. This allows two audio signals to be transmitted, for example, a left and right channel for stereo audio. TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve): a jack configuration with four contact points. This type of connection allows a microphone signal to be transmitted via the same connector in addition to stereo audio. Explanation of audio signals Balanced audio: a method for audio transmission using two signal wires and a ground. Interference picked up along the way is cancelled out at the receiver, resulting in a more stable audio signal. Unbalanced audio: a form of audio transmission using one signal wire and one ground wire. This type of connection is widely used in consumer electronics. Stereo audio: an audio system that uses two separate channels: a left and a right channel. Mono audio: an audio system that uses only one audio channel and sends the same signal to all speakers. Explanation of certifications CE: indicates that the product complies with European directives for safety, health, and environmental protection. RoHS: European directive that restricts the use of hazardous substances such as lead, mercury, and cadmium. REACH: European regulation for the registration and control of chemical substances in products. WEEE: directive for the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
