Sports and energy drinks are drinks that have been specially developed to support energy, hydration and performance. Sports drinks often contain water, electrolytes and carbohydrates to replenish fluid and salt loss during exercise. Energy drinks also contain caffeine, sugars and sometimes vitamins to temporarily increase alertness and energy. They are often used during sports, intense activities or long days, but should be consumed in moderation due to their stimulating and sugary composition.
