The analog VGA video signal is actively converted to a digital HDMI signal by the adapter. Signal Direction (Important) The signal direction is fixed and unidirectional: VGA source → adapter → HDMI display. Use in the reverse direction (HDMI to VGA) is not possible. Signal Conversion The adapter contains active electronics that convert the analog VGA video signal to digital HDMI video.
