The two layers are sewn together with cotton. Luffa is a type of cucumber-like fruit that is perfect as a cleaning and scouring pad when dried. Many regular scouring pads are made of plastic, when you wash or use them they release microplastics. This scouring sponge is completely plant-based and therefore 100% plastic-free.
