But her calf isn't crazy about the green stuff yet. She would rather have a drink with her mother! The stately moose cow lovingly cares for her calf. She gives her milk all day long. To maintain her strength, the mother must eat enough fresh grass. In search of a lush pasture, she extends her long snout and sniffs around. When she catches the scent of juicy grass, she takes off with great strides, with her calf in hot pursuit.
