Description
The European tree frog is only three to four centimetres long. Although it is very small, it is not easy to overlook. It is bright green, only its belly is light brown to cream-coloured. A striking dark brown stripe runs from the flat, broad snout past the eye and along the entire flank. The tree frog is always easy to recognise by this. A handsome fellow!The European tree frog looks adventurous. Fortunately, he long ago gave up his job as a weatherman in a jam jar. That was not for him. They much prefer to sit on rainy leaves or use the adhesive discs on their feet to deftly climb up aquatic plants. At the moment, he is very content. With his belly full of crunchy flies, he enjoys the sun. Croak!
