Double pentagon prism (or angle prism) with see-through Quickly setting out angles and checking straight lines The double pentagon prism is a simple but important optical instrument for setting out right angles or checking right angles, placing a point on a straight line (i.e. dropping the perpendicular from the point onto this straight line) and aligning yourself in a straight line.
