Everywhere they went, they were inspired by nature and noticed how their senses were heightened by the intense colors, unfamiliar sounds, and tantalizing scents. Marcel's daughters knew their father had been making cleaning products for years. One day, the youngest asked: "Why does it always smell so good in the forest, and why do those cleaning products always smell so fake?" A simple question—but a wake-up call for Marcel. It's strange, really, that so few cleaning products actually smell good. And even stranger that the "clean" in "cleaning products" stops at the front door. The world isn't exactly becoming a cleaner place with most cleaning products. Surely there was a better way... Marcel got to work—a search for natural ingredients for his own soap series: Marcel's Green Soap. At first, it was just for fun, and a few bottles were made for them to use at home. But it soon got out of hand, and the soap was produced in larger quantities. Marcel found a soap factory in Utrecht that was willing to collaborate with him to produce his products. And together with a few old friends and colleagues, Marcel developed a wonderful line of cleaning products. Every Marcel soap promises you three things: it smells fantastic, it cleans incredibly well, and it's 100% natural. Marcel's Green Soap is a traditional Dutch startup. Their goal is to make laundry and cleaning products much more sustainable. This includes the formulation, the packaging, and ultimately, the businesses behind it.
