The removal of trim, carpets and moldings in the vehicle is reduced to a minimum, and the provocation of short circuits is eliminated. The transmitter is connected to the circuit to be tested via the fuse box with the insulated crocodile clips. The emitted signal is received by the receiver and indicated acoustically as well as by a directional LED. Following the line, the fault can be located. If the receiver no longer emits a signal, the short circuit has been found. The transmitter can optionally be extended with headphones via an integrated connection, the search sensitivity can be continuously adjusted.
