Axial bearing rings form the running surfaces of axial needle roller bearings and axial cylindrical roller bearings. They can also be ordered separately and combined with axial needle roller and cage assemblies or axial cylindrical roller and cage assemblies. Axial bearing rings are used when the adjacent machine parts cannot be used as a raceway for the rolling elements, but are sufficiently stiff and geometrically accurate to allow the use of axial bearing rings. Axial bearing rings are made of hardened roller bearing steel, the running surfaces are designed as rolling element race tracks.
