The GARDENA Dewatering Valve, as part of the GARDENA Sprinklersystem, prevents frost damage to the underground installed system. Special features The valve provides automatic drainage when the system is taken out of use; the valve opens when the water pressure in the system is less than approximately 0.2 bar. Drain valves should be installed at the lowest point of the irrigation system and placed on a layer of washed coarse gravel for safe drainage.
