STAINLESS: Enduro Bearings manufactures select ranges of bearings constructed with stainless 440C steel balls. This material offers maximum resistance to corrosion in all circumstances. Depending on the application, Abec 3 or Abec 5 quality is used. Stainless steel balls have 20% less capacity than the 52100 steel balls used in most of our bearings, but they do have better protection against corrosion. Enduro Bearings uses a CRC marine grease in these bearings as extra protection against contamination. LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber finish with a metal core. Unlike the standard 2RS, we go a little further by machining a notch in the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and resistance compared to a lesser bearing. Rather than a single «lip» of a thick seal that rubs against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 lips of seals, fine like a razor blade that slides in a notch with a light contact. The outer «lip» keeps out water and impurities, while the inner seal retains grease for smooth rotation and long intervals between services.
