'Stuntmen live in the shadow of death'. How close this comes to the truth becomes clear when Lance Cooper meets Eric O'Byrne - a hitman in the service of the Mafia. When Jimmy, a good friend of Eric's, dies in a stunt organized by Lance, the Mafia orders Eric to kill Lance. Eric infiltrates the stunt world to get closer to his goal, but immediately becomes obsessed with life as a stuntman and falls in love with Lance's daughter, Clarissa.
