This is a transparent connector suitable for use with a round cable, possibly one with a solid core. RJ45 connectors are almost always used for cabling in network systems and for ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) lines. These connectors are approximately 12 mm wide, have 8 contacts and 8 positions. Usage The transparent, unshielded RJ45 modular Cat6 network plug is equipped with a click-lock on the top that prevents the cable from coming loose. Once the RJ45 is inserted into a port, the connector locks into place. To disconnect the cable, the tab on top of the plug can be pressed to allow the plug to be removed from the port. This cabling can be used for many different purposes.
