From October/November you can start feeding carbohydrate and high-rich food for the construction of vital reserves of body fat. This is to survive the long, cold nights.
Kidney fat, marrow pipes, roasting fat, grated cheese, bacon swindings, cake and cakes also contain a lot of fat. Never give dried -out coconut meat or uncooked rice because this can swell in the bird stomach, with often fatal consequences. First soak dehydrated bread in water.

If tits in the spring stuff their youngsters with peanuts from the feeding net, they quickly die. After all, the peanuts do not digest in the stomach of the young tits. Do not hang or put the food in full sun, preferably close to suitable lookouts and dense bushes. Not too close to fences or sturdy trees because of cats. A shelter prevents the food from getting wet or blows away.
