Description
This tool allows you to check and correct the position of the derailleur hanger relative to the frame. Remove any installed rear derailleur. Screw the threaded spindle into the derailleur hanger and secure it with the locknut. Measure the distance at various points on the rim with the locating pin. The distance will be the same if the derailleur hanger is positioned correctly and the wheel is centered. Where you discover a deviation, you can adjust the derailleur hanger by pushing the lever of the alignment tool up or down. A correctly aligned derailleur enables flawless shifting and protects the frame from damage.
