Instructions: Checking the pressure loss The spark plug of the respective cylinder is replaced by one of the supplied adapters. Now the compressed air is connected to the pressure loss tester. The pointer should now deflect to the left. Then the control valve is pulled out of its lock and turned until the pointer is exactly at the zero percent mark. Then the adapter is connected to the pressure loss tester. Now the display shows the percentage pressure loss of the cylinder. At a value between 0 - 20 %, the pressure loss is acceptable.
