• Mounting the Chain Keeper is simple:
• Remove the rear wheel from your bike. Pull the upper pulley back to create enough space to remove the wheel.
• Remove the quick-release axle or thru-axle from the rear wheel. Slide the Chain Keeper onto the axle and reposition it, placing the chain in the recess of the Chain Keeper. Tip: Save an old axle and use it with the Chain Keeper so you don't have to keep taking it in and out of your wheel while cleaning.
• You now have easy access to all drivetrain components for proper maintenance and lubrication. Plus, the pedals turn freely, and you can shift up and down with the Chain Keeper in place.
• Put your rear wheel back on your bike. Here too, you'll need to create some space by moving the top pulley back. Your bike is now ready for your next ride!
