This XLR cable is designed for connecting professional audio equipment such as microphones, mixers, audio interfaces, and amplifiers with a 3-pin XLR connection. The cable transmits a balanced audio signal, greatly reducing electromagnetic interference and noise during signal transmission. A balanced XLR connection uses three conductors: pin 1 (ground / shield), pin 2 (positive signal), and pin 3 (negative signal). The negative signal is identical to the positive signal but in opposite phase. In the receiving equipment, both signals are combined, cancelling out any interference picked up along the way. This keeps the audio signal stable and low-noise. The cable is constructed with an inner conductor structure of (0.12 mm × 20) × 2 and features braided shielding (0.12 mm × 96). This combination ensures a flexible cable with stable signal transmission and protection against electromagnetic interference from, for example, power cables and lighting. The connectors feature a metal XLR housing and internal strain relief. This limits mechanical stress on the cable and protects the solder joints. The cable has an outer diameter of approximately 6.5 mm, providing a good balance between flexibility and mechanical protection of the internal conductors. At the ends, there is an XLR male connector and an XLR female connector with a locking mechanism.
