The BY-MP4 is a versatile audio adapter that can be used for various applications. For example, you can connect a shotgun microphone to the stereo input and attach it to the top hot shoe of the BY-MP4. Lavalier microphones, including wireless microphones with receivers on the left and right hot shoes, can be connected to the mono inputs. The stereo/mono button allows you to switch between the sound from the shotgun microphone and the sound from both lavalier microphones. The sound from both mono channels is sent to the camera on a separate track, allowing you to edit them separately in the edit.
