Beaphar Anti-Myiasis Flystrike Rabbit 75 ml is a convenient skin spray that provides one month of protection against flystrike in rabbits. Flystrike, also known as Myiasis, is a real danger, especially for rabbits living outdoors. However, even rabbits living indoors can be visited by blowflies through open windows! These blowflies are attracted to droppings that stick to the rabbit's rear end. The fly lays eggs in the feces or on the animal's skin; after which the maggots begin to gnaw through the skin and can cause blood poisoning, infections, or even death. Reduce the risk of this with this spray from Beaphar, which is easy to spray onto the rabbit's fur. This spray contains 0.5 mg/ml Ivermectin, which kills the eggs and maggots. Note: it does not kill the adult fly! Therefore, always ensure adequate hygiene and consult your veterinarian immediately if you find maggots. The spray is effective for one month.
