The 1.5" Headset Press allows you to simultaneously press the upper and lower headset cups into the head tube. The kit includes a T-handle tool holder, a 360mm trapezoidal threaded spindle, a pair of press sockets, a threaded bushing, and a thrust bearing.

• Preparation: Screw the trapezoidal thread spindle with the fine thread side into the tool holder. Place the thrust bearing and then one of the press bushings onto the spindle.
• Directions: Place the upper headset cup on the press sleeve and insert the tool into the head tube. Place the lower headset cup on the other press sleeve and place both on the tool's spindle. Then screw the threaded sleeve onto the trapezoidal thread of the spindle. Turn the tool holder and begin pressing the headset cups. Be careful not to jam the cups during operation.
• Before you begin pressing the headset cups, check the diameter tolerance of the cup seat in the frame. You may need to correct the dimension by first milling and facing the head tube. Use the appropriate head tube milling tool (code: 720147) for this.
• Tip: Apply some lubricant to the headset cups to be pressed. This will make the job easier and protect the tool.
