It can be mounted anywhere desired, as long as it can be connected to a security system. They are activated when the alarm system to which the detector is connected is armed. As soon as motion is detected, a signal is sent to the alarm system, causing it to activate. The Allteq PIR is a reliable and affordable model that can be built into any desired location. This uses PIR. PIR stands for Passive Infrared and means that the device does not consume or generate energy but only reacts to motion detected by the sensor.
